“Difficult to communicate with staff when only one member could speak english so had to wait until she was on duty to sort things out. Booking included a full continental breakfast this came down to two slices of toast and a cup of tea. Had a tv in room which did not work until late on day 2 of a 3 day stay. Room had aircon but took 2 days to find out it was controlled from reception so was set at 33 c for 2 days. In the bathroom there was a strong smell of drains also the shower heads were……

“Comfortable air conditioned clean. Very courteous and helpful staff. Standard western amenities. Highly recommend it. The only caveat is location. While it is only 3 minutes away from Darbar Sahib (with entry right next to Akal Takht Sahib!), it is very difficult to get your car there, because the streets are too congested. They do have parking but it took extra long to get in and out. So park outside and take an auto to the place. ”

“Great place to stay to visit Harmandir Sahib Golden Temple. It's right in the center of the action of Heritage Street right near the Maharaja Ranjit Singh statue and Jallianwalla Bagh Park. The soundproofing is excellent to get a good night's sleep, because Heritage St is extremely busy all day and almost all night. The room wasn't super clean and had exposed wiring in the bathroom, but for the price, it was fine. We had great hot water. The staff is excellent and listened to our requests and……

“Hotel is quite close to golden temple which is big plus. But hotel was not clean. Linen and pillow cover were looking so dirty that u won’t feel like sleeping on same. Credit card does not work there.”

“Golden lagoon is very close to the Golden Temple (Darbar Sahib). Staff is friendly and professional. My flight was very late and they were able to accommodate me by giving me a room for a shorter period after normal check out for a reasonable price. Rooms are on the slightly smaller size but sufficient and clean. Kettle, mini fridge, TV, hot water etc all provided. Rooms were clean. One criticism, and this applies to all hotels close to the Golden Temple is that they should provide directions or……
