“Our stay was for a surprise 21st birthday party and we were completely in awe when we arrived. The drive along the private road is stunning breathtaking views of Abergavenny and surrounded by animals. The area has such low light pollution, it was lovely to sit outside at night and see the stars so clearly. The area is private and secure as we had children with us that loved running around outside. The property has so much space that no one felt on top of me another which was lovely as there as 7……

“Very spacious rooms, well furnished & comfortable. Space to spread out. Location excellent for walking, cycling & visiting the varied range of interesting places. Information provided very detailed & easy contact with owners. ”

“Property was so cosy and clean. The views were to die for. Extremely remote snd lovely and quiet but not too far to be able to drive to certain places. Thankfully the owner of the property made our stay work after the booking agent hadnt informed her we were coming as she had no knowledge we were booked in.”

The totally secure, dedicated garden meant our dog was free to wander safely which means we could relax. You do need a car to be able to shop etc, it is very tucked away! The bed has no frame so I would say anyone who needs a firmer mattress would find it challenging although we found it comfortable! WIFI is excellent and the main living area is large and……

“Staying at Forest cottage has been a delight! Peaceful and quiet and great walking trails.”

“Very clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds, very peaceful area. Toys for children, loads of books, close to Monmouth Brecon canal for walks or cycling. Lots to do in the area.”

“Property was excellent, everything worked perfectly, quiet and peaceful, out in the country, but lots of places to visit near by. Only stayed a couple of nights, spent the day in Cardiff, went to The Big Pit on the way back. Communication and instructions spot on, definitely would go back ”

“We loved our stay in the cottage. The cottage has everything and more you need. Beautiful viewe. The owner provides everything especially if you have a dog with you. Very clean and equipped. ”

“We had a great family weekend away. The house is lovely and the beds were very comfortable. Its run by the pub next door and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Very good location for shops if you run out of supplies. BBQ could do with a good clean as too dirty and rusty to use. Stairs very narrow and windy so not suitable for people with limited mobility.”

“Property was spot on. The owners provided use of the garage opposite which was more than enough room to store our 3 motorbikes. The property was lovely, quant and had everything we could need for our 3 day motorbike tour of Wales. There we could walk to a very nice pub and shop in Gilwern which took only about 10 minutes. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a lovely quiet cottage around the Brecons. ”

“David’s cottage was excellent! We traveled all the way from Pennsylvania and had a true Wales experience. The Cider House was clean, a bit out of the way, but once there we enjoyed ourselves immensely. David was also a great host and very friendly to speak with.”

“We stayed here as a group and the set up was great with bedrooms either end of the lodge as it gave privacy if needed. It was clean and had everything needed for a stay, home from home. I had text communication with Noemi from the minute we got there and nothing was too much bother and I got quick, helpful responses. I can’t think of anything that was a negative! We will definitely be back ourselves for a longer stay and highly recommend Fuseli Lodge to anyone. ”
