“We had a fantastic stay at the Best Western Hammondsport. The hotel is clean and new and clearly well maintained and run. We tried out most of the amenities - the breakfast, pool, nightly firepits. The daily breakfast buffet was one of the nicest I have enjoyed and the ladies who managed it were so helpful and kind. The pool was great fun for the kids and the firepits were an unexpected plus. “Elin and Marcus were incredible hosts. Their home is a true gem that will transport you in time. The attention to detail is incredible. Their recommendations on wineries and other unique places in town to visit were spot on and Marcus was a text or email away at all times. Elins brunch was delicious;perfect way to start our day. “This is an old-style motor lodge one would find on a U.S. Highway in the 50s or 60s. The decor shows it. If you are seeking a fancy, glitzy resort, go elsewhere. “This property was a nice, clean, comfortable place to stay. It had a lot of room to spread out and almost seemed like a studio apartment rather than a hotel room. It was on top of a restaurant called Burgers and Beer. I didn’t feel the same sense of cleanliness there, but the food was good. Next time, I would skip the restaurant. ”
