“We recently stayed 2 nights at this wonderful place. It is a unique, relaxing, and beautiful environment. It is also located close to many activities available in the area. We loved spending time in Jonesborough and riding bikes on the Tweetsie Rails to Trails between Johnson City and Elizabethon. It was just the right retreat for us to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. ”

“We live on the NC Coast and travel to the Boone area several times a year. We have stayed at many homes and this one was at the top of the list. Its central location to Boone, Bowing Rock and Banner Elk was ideal. The home was very comfortable with its mountain decor and updated kitchen. Can't wait to return!”

“Even though the weather wasn’t great, the cabin was clean and cozy. Screened in porch was so nice to just sit, read and enjoy the rain. We were hoping to get to use the fire pit outside but winds prevented that. Will keep this on our list of places to stay in the future.”

“Took a quick weekend getaway with my pup, the home is very comfortable and cozy and rustic which is just up my alley! Really enjoyed the solitude but felt quite safe if there were any surprises. Very nice hiking trails within 20-30 min drive, but there’s also a lot of nature and exploration opportunities on the property so it’s really unnecessary to leave at all if you have your food. Highly recommend!”

“Carol has thought of everything needed for a mountain escape in the most wonderful cabin. The cabin is surrounded by trees with vistas all around. So many places to gather together. The late afternoon fire pit was one of our favourite. Comfortable beds with plenty of blankets and pillows. Carol was easily accessible and helpful. The location is close to App State, Boone, Blowing Rock Grandfather’s Mountain and so much more. We highly recommend staying there and hope to be back ourselves again.……
