“If you are looking for a place with the fanciest furnishings, and most up to date fixtures, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, inviting well lived and loved home, this is it. It has a great location, may be dated, but is completely functional. Only problem we had was starving the hot water system while taking showers and washing clothes. Other than that, it was awesome! The driveway will not fit many vehicles, we were on a 15 passenger van, and……

“This place was perfect for our first visit to Maine. It was close enough to Acadia, but far enough to be away from the crowds and traffic. When we didn’t feel like driving to the park, we explored Schoodic peninsula, and went to a few of the preserves on Hancock Point. The only “complaint” we had was that there were no condiments or spices there. My husband loves to cook, so he had to improvise or purchase, and then we had to bring it all home with us. We drove, so it wasn’t a big deal. Other……

“What a little piece of heaven this place is! The interior of the home is beautiful with an open floor plan for the kitchen, dining, and living areas and large windows overlooking the pine trees and Jellison Cove. We loved the view from inside in the comfy chairs, as well as from the two adirondack chairs overlooking the cove—listening to birds singing, loons calling, the waves and watching the sunrise. It was very happily situated. This home had a lot of wonderful amenities that we didn’t get……

With a well stocked kitchen and comfortable dining area, we were tempted to eat at home every night, but we’re glad to try several really good nearby options, the best of which was Ironbound. The suggested local kayak guide, Antonio, was experienced and the experience was a highlight on the vacation.”

“We loved this property! The charming A-frame acted as a great home base for our activities in the area, and there were books and other things to do supplied for those rainy rainy days. It's not far to town, and a reasonable drive to Bangor and Bar Harbor. Located in a quiet neighborhood, we couldn't hear or see the neighbors, and the beach in the property made for good exploring at lower tides. Thank you! ”
