“The boathouse is my new "mind palace". The porch is what sold the rental, and it did not disappoint! The views of the river were spectacular with amazing bird sightings for my birder family. The upper porch was wonderful for early morning coffee & reading, while the lower porch was fantastic for evening cocktails & pool table tournaments. “Lovely historic home, beautifully appointed, well stocked with provisions and comfortable. We spent most of our time there on the wonderful front porch. Hot tub was icing on the cake. ”

“I have been looking at this property for a few years, wanting a place with a full kitchen and a private house. I gave 5 stars because it was pretty much what I was looking for. The plastic covering on the beds was a bit uncomfortable. I realize it’s more sanitary although I would suggest a washable fitted cover over the plastic mattress pad and then the sheets. It would cut the extra sweating that occurs lying on a sheet over the plastic. Also there was only one extremely worn out dish……

“We found ourselves in wrightsville for my son’s wedding at Lauxmont Farms. Since we live 1 1/2 hours away we needed a place close to the venue for all the weekend activities. Rivers edge proved to be the perfect place. Only 2 miles from the venue made it super convenient. Being right on the river helped us have a beautiful relaxing weekend. The property is spectacular. The owners were very quick to answer all questions. They also were able to provide us with a great recommendation……
