Ok, my husband and I have been here a few times and we do plan on going back. The place is very old and it could use some up grading. With that being said we’ve been in a few different chalets over the years and some are a little more updated as in appliances than others. It does have that very old rusty cabin feeling. It’s definitely not a 5 star chalet. We like that fact that it gives is our own private space, place to sleep with heat and shower after a long day of adventures and you’re surrounded by trees and would have a choice to have an indoor or outdoor fire. If you like camping and can definitely handle Rundle Chalets. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. We also like the fact it’s close to the town of CANMORE. As for cost it’s the same as other places, more money in peak seasons. It’s not perfect but we like it.

I am rating this low because of the issues we had during the 4 day stay at Rundle Chalet. I paid a total of $1715.12 for the 4 nights (pretty steep). There was an aunt problem in the first chalet where you couldn’t go into the bathroom without seeing a bunch, when we got moved to another chalet (clearly a much bigger and better one) the stove wasn’t working. The solution was to be given an air fryer (which worked, but once again not for the cost we paid). Cute area, was a great 2 week trip out west (BC and Alberta) but was disappointed in the value we received given the problems we encountered and that’s why I am giving a 2.

The place is a dump. There is garbage (eg. old tires, broken pieces of wood) strewn around the property. My room (#17) smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The room is dark, crowded, and generally run down. The only reason I stayed here is because nothing else was available in Canmore for <$300 a night. There is no other reason to stay here.

We loved our stay at the Rundle Chalets, the cabin was very clean and cozy. It was very simple in amenities but had everything we needed. The location is very convenient, close to Banff , trails, views, highway, gas and food. The price was also super competitive to everything in that area. We would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

No room! Washroom was very small and not sanitary. Internet didn’t work. No heat. And it was way over priced!! Not happy at all!

Absolutely awful. Loads of ants on the floor and on the bed. Found bugs on the bed as well. Pillows covered in dust. Bathroom is beyond disgusting, again loads of ants walking around and moulds everywhere. Door is broken, pans and hobs are so dirty that we didn’t even want to touch them. Horrendous quality with this price. I’m defo not coming back.

Floors and room in general was obviously not mopped/dirty. There was multiple ants and spiders in the room along with several cobwebs. No condiments, salt pepper, or forks were available. Cute place but obviously needs some tlc
