“It's a very good base for walking in the area, though the lake is not as pretty as Titisee up the road. Parking was easy, luckily, but they also give you a pass while you're there and you can take the train wherever you want. If you have a dog, the facilities are good and they were very kind. There's a nice park just up the hill, great for early morning or late night walkies. Very convenient to a grocery store, an atm, and right across the street from the tourist information center! “This is a lovely little family run hotel in the high Black Forest. The owners were very accommodating, even offering to cook for us on the first night despite it being the one night a week when the restaurant is closed. The hotel owners only took over in December 2024 and are working hard to improve an already lovely place. The breakfast spread was lovely, lots of fresh and delicious food. In the evening the menu is lots of traditional mountain food, again all delicious. The hotel is a ski……
