The rear door opens to a lovely sunny patio where you can dine alfresco on a summer’s day, sheltered below the raised lawn area from next door. You are welcome to use the shared lawned area to the side of the cottages. When you arrive, you will appreciate how close you are to the sea when you spot the view to the coast from the driveway. The owners are keen to encourage wildlife, bees and butterflies in particular, so the grounds are kept as natural as possible with less mowing and wild flower meadows.Keen walkers will revel in the abundance of footpaths and flower strewn lanes to explore. A mile walk will take you to the sea, Aberfelin is sure to delight with its rock pools, natural arch and sand and shingle beach, seals are regular visitors. Above Aberfelin is the popular village of Trefin with its pub, serving food and cafe/gallery, while there is another pub, shop and garage in Square & Compass. Take advantage of the Strumble Shuttle to catch a bus back after walking a stretch of the beautiful Coast Path and enjoy a slower pace to life by leaving your car behind. Take in the coves of Abermawr or the fishing village of Abercastle, still used by fishermen today, to the south lies Abereiddy with its Blue Lagoon and Porthgain. The tiny City of St Davids is well worth a visit with the majestic Cathedral and Bishops Palace, as well as a range of facilities, only a short drive away, while in the other direction is the bustling town of Fishguard with its picturesque harbour.
