Nestled in Hector, this delightful recreational vehicle offers a private getaway as amazing as it is serene, and the people who've stayed there long term have been happy with it. But as with anything else, there are pros and cons. CONS - First, the RV is "cozy" because it's only an 18-ft. unit. And second, it RV was built in 1986. It's an old unit, and it's got its creeks and groans (not literally). You have to take care of it, but it always comes through - think of the African Queen or R2D2! PROS - First, it's cheap. The price includes everything, including heat, electricity, water, wifi, parking, and garbage pick-up. Second, it's centrally located in "downtown" Hector. Wineries are in walking distance, a convenience store is a five-minute walk, and the Finger Lakes National Forest is less than four miles away. Third, and most important, the RV sits on a property with its own private gorge (see photos), where you can go to meditate, sip wine or otherwise commune with nature. You won't find a private spot like this at resorts costing many times more, if you can find one at all.
