I reserved a room with a lake view room but not only was half the sliding glass door damage that you couldn’t see through it, but the other half was a view of the dock and trees. The balcony had trash on it, which they cleaned right away after I told them. However they didn’t offer a new room until 8pm the second day and after I followed up 4 times. When I said I wanted to check out 1 day early, the girl at the desk said they would not refund my last day and they would charge me extra for checking out early! That’s when I really got annoyed, this was ridiculous. I said then I’m not leaving early, but she recoded my key to leave early. After no luck trying to speak with her supervisor on the phone, they luckily got a hold of the owner who happened to be on site. Long story short, he did the right thing and refunded my last night, with of course no extra penalty fee. While the owner understands service, his staff did not. Also annoying was no water bottles, in the room or available for purchase. They did have one big water jug and cups, which was empty on the second night. Restaurant on site was nice for dinner, however I will never return.
