“The staff are very helpful and pleasant and make you feel very welcome. The room was very clean and well maintained. The hotel is a little out of town, however the food in the hotel is excellent and has a wide choice, with a reasonable selection of vegetarian food, so no real requirement to go out. “Our first time at The Green Man and we will be returning. Had a great time, accommodation and food excellent. They also have a wonderful front of house called Amanda who was great fun and extremally helpful.”

“Love the inn is so close to the river, very lovely view and walk along it. Excellent food served at the inn and all the staff were very friendly during our stay. The door to our room was a bit stiff and hard to get into, and the bathroom ceiling was a bit mouldy, but other than that the stay was so wonderful and we would definitely come back again.”

“Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect.”
