“We always have a great time whenever we come home . This is our hometown so we know how to blend in with the crowd.. ”

“Amazing place to stay that really brings you back to the days when things were a little slower paced. Lots of old car and gas station memorabilia that is decorated very nicely. The highway 90 out front was very quite and not real busy. Train is close by but did not bother or effect us in the least. Front outdoor area nice to relax with coffee and start the day and the backyard area with firepit is a great place to end that day. Everything was clean and tidy with plenty of necessary supplies.……

“Absolutely perfect! The house is beautiful and perfect for what we needed. Everything is provided. The grandkids loved the horses and cows. The hosts were so nice and accommodating. We are going to make this an annual event but will stay longer next time!”

“Property was like a museum. No television, furniture not comfortable, front door did not work, water in showers had a sulphur smell, some windows did not have a way to have privacy, and trains that blare through two to four times a night. Very unique stay but not typical VRBO experience. ”

“Loved the location, so close to everything we wanted to do and see. House was decorated so well and close to period. Photos of the original family were a nice surprise. So much thought and planning went into making our stay extra special. Trains were a little noisy but otherwise everything was great! Would recommend to others.”

“This place met ALL expectations! You can't find a better place to get away from every day hustle and bustle! The family really enjoyed being outdoors in the pool, grilling and also catching fish as well as watching the deer and other critters. The house is well kept and stocked with all that's needed for an enjoyable stay!”

“The place was just as it appeared in the pictures. Beds were comfortable house was clean and the deer were amazing to watch. Only negative was the outside trash can was overflowing as we drove in, to the point the lid was halfway open and trash bag hanging out. Overall a great place to crash after walking around Roundtop and Warrenton all day! ”

“We love this part of Texas. The house had anything anyone would need for a weekend getaway, family getaway, girls weekend, etc. ”

Everything about our stay was perfect and we highly recommend this gorgeous hamlet. Our son loved having a place of his own in the adjacent unit.”

It was perfect for 7 adults to feel like we all had space and not on top of each other. We all got time to enjoy the outdoors and the back patio eating and drinking morning coffee.
