“We enjoyed our stay at Carter House. The bartender made us mocktails because we didn’t want the options that they had. I was also able to charge our EV at no cost. Location is very convenient for Eureka.”

“Great historic hotel and great price. Right in the center of Arcata Plaza - so lots of cute shopping and restaurants. The sushi place connected to the hotel was tasty. The room we had suited our needs and the bathroom had great water pressure. Our "view" faced the other rooms and part of the roof which was a bummer but we also didn't hear any of the street noise. ”

“Checking in the owner gives you a tour and provides the history of the property and the area around the property. She is an excellent host. The rooms are clean and comfortable. If you like historic mansions this is an opportunity to stay the night on one. The owner is also looking to open a restaurant and I look forward to returning. ”

“This was an excellent hotel! It was conveniently located and has a ton of rooms. It's a very pet friendly hotel and has a great breakfast in the morning. The bed was extremely comfortable and gave us a great nights sleep.”

“This motel is ok. Check in is fastest. Bed is not very comfortable and The sheets are not very clean.”

“Dirty and some flies in the room, there are hairs left on the bed and pillows,the wallpaper is broken, and homeless stayed at the hotel door who will ask you for money.”
