Gram's House was my great-grandparent's home when I was a child. We recently purchased the home and turned it into a nightly rental. We are hoping you enjoy staying here as much as I enjoyed playing here with my cousins many years ago. This Village of Hillman home is charming and clean with three bedrooms and one bathroom.
Sit on the front porch and listen to the live music at the band shell on summer Friday evenings. Walk across the street to enjoy Emerick Park and the Thunder Bay River. Stroll downtown to enjoy an ice cream or one of the other local amenities such as the Brush Creek Mill. Love the water? We have several great fishing, boating and swimming lakes such as Fletcher's, Avalon, Long, Ess, Rush, Grass and Clear Lakes nearby. Some with local boat rental options available. Enjoy golfing? If so, check out Thunder Bay Golf Course. Take a short 30-minute drive to either Alpena or Rogers City for Lake Huron fun. Ocqueoc Falls, Cheboygan, Gaylord, Petoskey and the Mackinaw Bridge are drivable and fun day trips (all between 45 minutes-1.5 hours each way). Lots of State Land for hunting and trail riding just minutes away. Paved bike/walking path in and around town.
WiFi provided. No pets please.
I have included a photo of my great-Gram (Pearl Rea Smith) taken in 1971 in her front yard. She and her husband, my great-Grandpa Norman resided in this home from roughly 1950-1990 and she would have been 72 years old in this photo.
Thank you,
Aimee Smith
