“It was a very beautiful setting. The room was very small and the pictures on the booking were a little different. Gettijg into the estate was a bit of a mission. I was suppose to recieve a code prior to atrivijg which was never sent. Once i had my cide, it still did not work. This meant i had to use another gate at the back of the estate which was highly inconvenient ”

“Could see that this used to be great (when photos were taken) While it was was mostly clean, there was a lot that didn’t live up to the promise or what we paid for. Lots of stains too. The bed linen is specifically tired and needing replacement - in no ways can it be called premium. There was no Wi-Fi and no bathtub - also both mentioned in the property description for the superior cottage (Crane Cottage). Convenient for the hockey festival at Michaelhouse and beautiful views but can’t say……

“They are doing renovations at the property, and that took away from the stay. Also, they are new at this and there is room for improvement. I am sure when renovations are done, and they are more accustomed to running it. Things will be much better.”

“On this website this hotel is a PET FRIENDLY property. We booked a Pet Friendly room but upon arrival were told the room we booked was not pet friendly. They wanted us to move to a much smaller room which we refused to do. They then told us that we would not be allowed in the dining or bar area with our puppy and if we wanted to order anything we would have to stay in our room and order room service. To get to this property you have to drive through an unsavoury area, we could not risk driving……

“I was disappointed with my stay at Millgate. No shower, fan or heater was not working. TV has limited channels. Cutlery not sufficient”

“The rooms themselves were great and the breakfast was delicious. However, there is a shared kitchen which is available to prepare any other meals…it is not in good condition at all and needs some serious TLC if the space is to be offered for guest use. For example the oven is FILTHY, the sink is perpetually full of used, dirty dishes and cutlery/crockery/glasses/cookware all need to be upgraded/replaced. I think the shared space is a great idea, but it has to be drastically improved to reflect……
