We booked a large room for a surgery accessibility, but on arrival found it was up a flight of stairs with no elevator. The staff made a ground-floor room available for the next night, but before moving rooms our scheduled surgery was canceled - so upsetting after traveling to Hinton (work, driving, accommodations). Immediately I asked to modify our reservation to accommodate the new surgery date, the front desk was completely inflexible and unhelpful. Expedia called on our behalf & again was unsuccessful. Wyndham price guarantee was more expensive than Expedia - so that's why I booked through the 3rd party site.
Breakfast was disappointing—no real cream or creamers, only whitener powder. The front desk clerk didn’t even identify himself as the manager until I specifically asked for the manager’s card.
We won’t be staying here again. The room on the ground floor would have worked for his surgery stay. Extremely frustrating experience, especially given we were traveling for medical reasons & we occupied the room for less than 7 hours for a 2-day booking & had a tea for breakfast.
