We were a group of 4, in 2 Superior Twin with Lake View rooms. The view was wonderful and the grounds extensive. The room was a good size, but the bathroom felt like a caravan. Location near the wharf was great and we caught the ferry out to Miyajima Island.( hint: try the oysters, they're delicious and cheap.) The seas came up and I received a phone call from the hotel informing us it wasn't safe to return on their ferry but we could catch the public ( larger ) ferry. On the second night, we had booked the restaurant for dinner. There is only one restaurant to eat in. Although a bit expensive, it was excellent food. On our first night, the restaurant was full, so the only option was to walk beside the road, in pouring rain to a nearby 7/11 or McDonalds. I loved the onsens. The hotel could have a second eating option available and a better designed bathroom with shelves.
