The staff was great. The location was easy to get to and close to the cute town of Holland. The room itself was a good size. There was a small kitchenette. What didn’t make sense to us was: there were no plates, utensils or containers to use in the kitchenette. The room was extremely outdated and tired, hanging on by a thread. The microwave was so weak it took a full five minutes just to warm water. We had to go across the street to buy a couple of bowls and cups as we were traveling with work and didn’t plan to eat at restaurants the entire time. We chose to leave a day early but were not reimbursed for the one fewer day. Not a big deal as we made the choice to leave early. That said, it was affordable and the linens were clean.

My families stay was very nice. We came down for the tulip festival which was very close to the property. The hotel was nothing special, but the staff was amazing and very accommodating. They gave us tips on places to visit around town and made sure we were taken care of throughout our entire experience. I would stay here again.

This place was ridden with mold, water damage, and the room smelt of cigarette smoke. Really terrible condition. The carpet is disgusting and needs to be cleaned.

I would have given this a one star all around except I felt the staff is trying very hard to make the best of a hotel that is in dire need of a money infusion. Things were clean, but the peeling paint in bathroom along with mold in grout and stained carpeting made me feel just one discovery away from throwing clothes in car and racing away. There was a fist sized hole in bathroom door. Thank goodness no bedbugs! Also no fire detectors in room. When we arrived several teens were hanging around their open door to the parking lot smoking pot. In the morning pot smells overwhelmed breakfast aroma. They made the desk person do double duty in breakfast area so that she, thru no fault of her own, was basically unavailable. No washclothes and the miniature bath towels were a disappointment and added to feeling of third rate motel. When I went to desk for 2 pillows I could only have one - no more available. And I overheard drama about being 3 rooms short due to previous guests doing “interesting things “ that required the manager to clean up. Which made me wonder what kind of people were staying there. If I had been alone or not with my husband think I would have left. I also felt sorry for the guests who eventually got the damaged rooms. My advice, if possible, find a different hotel.

This weekend at this hotel was truly absolutely terrible. We had two keys to the room and only one of them worked half the time. After coming back from the “pool” the working key failed so we had to ask for new ones. Entering the room itself it smelled of week old spaghetti, half of the light switches didn’t do anything, the door to the bathroom had a handle but no latch, the ac made the room unbearably cold. When we turned the ac to heat it smelled like it was gonna catch fire. I had a black light and shined on the tub and it lit up like a Christmas tree. The outside door to the room doesn’t work with the keys. No towels at the pool and very loose on the rules regarding time to be in it. All around a terrible crappy place to stay. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy.

We really enjoyed our stay here! We traveled in the week before Tulip Fest so pricing was starting to increase as expected. I really appreciate the value and quality of our stay reflecting the cost though. Toddler/Kid-friendly with a family friendly indoor pool and hot tub area. We also enjoyed the patio which is entirely privacy fenced in and had comfortable lounge seating, grills, and covered dining areas in an open outdoor area. We also utilized the coin laundry ($2 per load in wash and dryer which were quick machines! Everything was super clean and we consistently saw staff cleaning and maintaining the common areas. They did give us notice that the key cards sometimes deactivate but there was always someone available at the desk to assist if it happened. Quite a few breakfast options as well and there are additional items available at the desk or vending if needed. The building is also centrally located within a mile of grocery, dining, fast food, gas stations, as well as other shopping in the immediate area but the atmosphere on the property is quiet and kind of set back. We were also able to visit the Outdoor Discovery Center, Holland State Park, Tunnel Park, Downtown Holland Shopping, and Nelis Dutch Village all within an easy 15 minute drive!

The hotel is dated and the rooms could use new carpeting and new locks on the doors. It took multiple attempts to get into the room. I didn’t feel safe having a door that led to the back parking lot in my room with a lock that was falling off the hinges. It wasn’t bad for a one night stay but I wouldn’t go back. The lobby area was nice.

Certainly location is good The building requires some outside service to compete locally with lots newer hotels in the surrounding area. The breakfast lacks diversity in choices and the first day they ran out of sauage and gravey and the waffle machine needed some serious attention to detail. Sorry to say I will pass staying there if traveling to Holland anytime soon.

This hotel was nice for the location and for the night but I did have some a few issues. When I showered the steam set off the fire alarm with my room. The toliet ran all night and in the morning wouldn’t flush. The bathtub was also very dirty. The room itself was fine, and it was okay for the night but not sure if I will be returning
