We were looking for a place near Kirk Park (on Lake Michigan) with a fenced back yard where not only our Golden Retriever could play and be safe, but we could invite our kids and grandkids to vacation with us. This place checked all of those boxes and more! Situated between Holland and Grand Haven we had lots of choices to eat, play, and wander. We ate a classic Pronto Pup in Grand Haven and a delicious corn beef sandwich with a Guiness in Holland at Curraugh's where dogs are welcomed with a bowl of water on the outdoor patio. I should also mention the bike trails? The trail right across the street connects you to Holland, Grand Haven, and yes, Kirk Park. The home was impeccably clean, lovely, fully stocked with food, games, and coffee and Diane and Bob were very responsive. My favorite part of the house was the back deck area where they provided cushions and seating for at least 12 people. We played UNO (provided) with our kids and grandkids until the 10pm quiet hour... The grandkids appreciated the video game console in their bedroom. Another nice thing was the provided beach stuff. From a large wheeled cart, to sand toys for the grandkids, to several umbrellas and beach chairs, to the boogie boards, we had everything we needed for a day at the beach. It was so fun to watch our dog run with 20 others on the Kirk Park dog beach side.... Not interested in dogs? That's ok, the other side of this huge beach is dog free. Yes, we would stay here again! This is a real gem!
