I've known this property for over 30 years. I've never stayed there but used to go there for dinner with a business associate about 30 years ago. It appears to have maintained the properly nicely as it was clean and well maintained.

The lady at the desk was very nice and gave us some helpful tips about the area. Beds were fine. The pool was cold but refreshing. The hot tub was nice. Breakfast is not continental. Unfortunately we had a lot of ants in our room and when we arrived, a tile in the bathroom was on the floor so my husband put it back up in the ceiling. Also it looked like there was drywall mud or paint on the tile in the entryway and in the bathroom. Quiet hotel.

We loved the room and loved the stay. After the weekend, on our way home, a charge popped up on my bank for bottled waters used in the room. We purposely did not use the waters, as they said that they were only free for gold members, besides we brought our own. I called to complain and was basically told I was a liar and the charge kept on. I should have taken pictures of the bottles sitting there when we left..........We will never stay at a Doubletree again!

Staff was VERY friendly. Room could have been cleaner there was food and drinks in the fridge from previous occupants. Grounds are a little nerve wracking overgrown landscaping and surrounding buildings closed down, people loitering in the parking lot just made us feel a little unsafe coming and going. Pool was very clean and staff was nice overall was a nice stay.

Did not like that staying here 3 nights, they wanted extra charge for 1 pm checkout instead of 12pm?? Did not appreciate room service just walking in at 8:15 am without knocking. There was a do not disturb sign on door. Quite alarming. Quite rude. Quite scary..

The front desk staff was amazing and our waitress at breakfast was so incredibly friendly. The food was fantastic! Even with the renovations they are doing, the hotel was clean and the room was perfect for what we needed!

Nothing was stated about either construction or something going on. Boxes everywhere in the lobby, upstairs, downstairs, pool area and outside. Tree trimming service had all the trees cut and getting ready to put them through a shredder - very loud. Quit serving breakfast at 10am- no one notified us when we checked in. Missed breakfast by 10 minutes!!!!!! Bathroom vent filthy. Air conditioner kept going off, having to constantly reset the thermostat to keep room comfortable. Advised clerk at front desk and she said she'll make a note for the maintenance team! Of course it did us no good. Bottled water in room was $3.99. When we went to Windmill Island they had the same size bottled water for $1.00! Didn't offer any reduction due to the clutter and disorderly look of the facility. Would not recommend this place.

While I understand the property is under renovations, the part that is functioning should be in a lot better shape. There were stains on the sheets, the halls smell musty and it looks unkept all over.

With all the beds, carpeting and furniture (and whatever is in ALL those brown boxes!!) laying around, it is more than obvious that this hotel is going through a remodel process. This might explain why the hallway carpets need a good vacuuming and rust stains appear all over the shower and grouting. And, until the remodel is done, make sure you bring along plugs for any chargers you have for phones or computers------there are NO USB ports to be found anywhere in the hotel for charging chords-----only plugs. Also, we were a bit "miffed" at the people at the front desk when we asked if there was anywhere that would deliver a pizza to the hotel. They gave us the name of a local place that they insisted DOES deliver. After calling the pizzeria, they said that THEY don't deliver but that I'd need to go through DoorDash. I was unable to order through DoorDash in that they would not honour an out-of-state credit card. That was crazy enough, but what made me REALLY irked me was that we discovered that they serve 14" pizza in the lounge/bar that is VERY GOOD!!! Seriously??? You have good pizza available on the property and you tell me to order from a place that does NOT deliver. NOT GOOD!!!!!
