Alternatively, they offer a refundable deposit... plus a non-refundable admin fee. Hotels.com explicitly tell you not to pay any additional money via online forms as it is a very common scam. The property does not allow you to stay unless you pay via their online form. This leaves you either at risk of being a scam victim by paying the additional secret fee, or without a place……

“A beautiful, cozy, delightful cottage in the heart of Bakewell. My mother and I stayed here for 5 nights and had everything we could want, and were even able to make ourselves dinner in the well equipped kitchen. The front patio was a peaceful spot to sit, and we loved the location. The house was very comfortable and the host was very responsive and kind. One of our favorite vacation rentals ever. ”

“I stayed in the Chatsworth Ensuite room while away on business and it was such a refreshing change from a tired, soulless room in a hotel chain. The bathroom is beautiful and I left disappointed I couldn't stay longer to make use of the enormous bathtub. Homely touches like candles and real milk for a coffee means I hope this room will be available next time I travel. Clear instructions are provided ahead of your arrival for a seamless check in. “Beautiful bungalow in peaceful setting close to great pub and cafe. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Just a shame no outside seating as we had lovely weather and unable to sit outside, there are misleading pictures of outside furniture on the listing. Also strange a well equipped place like this does not have a washing machine there is certainly room for one in the kitchen.”

However, the location after a business day is ideal and so many personal touches, including a welcome label on the door personal to you!
