“Newtown is a special New England village that was founded in 1705. This 3-bedroom house on a small lake was perfect for 6 of us to relax in between family activities around the area. Best for folks who can handle steps. Gorgeous main, open living space takes up entire main floor where we played games, watched tv, cooked, ate and read. Recommended. ”

“This is an adorable cottage. It is very clean and well appointed. The kids (and adults) really enjoyed the detached game room. The hot tub and fire pit made for very relaxing evenings. We really enjoyed our time here. ”

“My mom, dog, and I attended a convention in New Milford about 15-20 minutes away from the cottage. It served us well and was really convenient that it was pet friendly. In a nice neighborhood Note: though it did not affect us, it’s definitely not a handicap accessible stay. ”

There was a lot of games and activities to do in the house the kayaking was nice and everything you needed was included in the house and was very pet friendly. That all being said there was a surprisingly amount of ants for this time of year inside the house, it didn't bother us too much but I can imagine it could be a problem for someone else. “Stayed in this renovated farmhouse for a very snowy weekend. Nicely redone and furnished with spacious living/dining area. Could have fit 2 more adults or 2-3 kids. Hosts were lovely and introduced us to the goats. Too snowy and icy to get outdoors or explore much but local village has shops and kitchen was stocked with pantry staples and bottled water, milk/creamers for coffee so arrival day grocery run was not needed. “Spacious, light filled house. Gathering cooking and conversations around the dinner table. The dual electric ovens for a real treat as we were able to. (some of us) bake cookies for dessert while also repairing dinner and a different oven. Although I don’t need them as an older adult I noticed and appreciated the number of Grab bars and safety features in beautiful master bathroom. was quiet and roomy and we pulled the couches up to the fireplace. “My girlfriends and mine were looking for a nice weekend getaway to unwind. The property was very clean. The basement level seemed a little more disheveled than pictured and very cold. Unfortunately we didn’t spend any time down there. The rest of the property was wonderful and spotless! Beds were comfortable.”

Great location, while it’s just a 2 hour drive from the city the property is has a great location with its own privacy and wonderful light lit living room.
