I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach recently, and overall, it was a decent experience. I really liked the location—it felt safe and was super walkable, especially to the beach, which was a big plus for me.
The hotel offers a beach chair rental perk through the Candy Beach shop, but honestly, I didn’t find it convenient at all. The shop was pretty far from the hotel, and walking there wasn’t ideal. They never rent you a beach umbrella; it is always windy for them, which was bullocks! On top of that, we had a bad experience with one of the staff members there who was quite rude. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend using that service from Candy Beach Shop.
Our room (we booked the two-bed option) was on the smaller side, but it was okay for what we needed. Breakfast at the hotel felt a bit expensive considering what they offer, so we ended up eating out most mornings.
One thing I did appreciate was that the hotel lets you store your bags if you have a late flight—that was really helpful and made our last day a lot more comfortable.
