“So i suppose the price for a night isnt bad, but when youre expecting a whole apartment aslisted and there are others there, its not so great. Stood outside door for 20mins. Not easy to get key via access code( no email before) 2 towels for 3 people, 1 was damp, 1 had a brown 'stain' on it. Bedding old and worn. Headboards dubiously stained!!!!”

“Whaley Bridge is interesting and active little town. Plenty of options for food and at least three good pubs. The cottage had everything we wanted and we did a couple of great walks from the door.”

“Thank you again for providing such a fantastic base for our holiday. Curlew Cottage was equipped with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the en-suite was a bonus. The location was stunning with a wonderful view to enjoy from the lovely garden. Betty the Cockapoo had a great time, getting to know the other animals, though I think she might have been disappointed that Jack, the sheep, wouldn't chase her. She enjoyed meeting them all. We definitely plan to return hopefully……

“Beautiful bungalow in peaceful setting close to great pub and cafe. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Just a shame no outside seating as we had lovely weather and unable to sit outside, there are misleading pictures of outside furniture on the listing. Also strange a well equipped place like this does not have a washing machine there is certainly room for one in the kitchen.”

“Absolutely fantastic cottage for a break in the peaks. Well equipped and very clean cottage. Very comfortable with a big garden. The pool was amazing. We will definitely be coming back.”

“A beautiful, cozy, delightful cottage in the heart of Bakewell. My mother and I stayed here for 5 nights and had everything we could want, and were even able to make ourselves dinner in the well equipped kitchen. The front patio was a peaceful spot to sit, and we loved the location. The house was very comfortable and the host was very responsive and kind. One of our favorite vacation rentals ever. ”

“really comfortable stay - the cottage is cosy but has high ceilings so no banged heads and it doesn't feel cramped. beds really comfy. fantastic location - amazing walks from outside the front door. lovely pub in the village down the hill. and the owners run the tea room next door so left us a lovely plate of cakes on arrival! ”

“We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. It was not clean, the tiles in the bathroom were mouldy, under the furniture were dead woodlouse and other remnants of insects, cobwebs everywhere and the lavatory off the main bedroom was very poorly cleaned.
