The layout of this hotel is strange due to the parking situation (if you self-park, you have to go up to sets of old escalators to the lobby) but it is close to large office buildings so I get that. I was checking in at the same time as a large school group so it was a bit chaotic but I got the keys to the first room. When I opened the door, I was met with the smell of either strong mold or pot...either way, it was disgusting so I went back to the lobby for a new room. No problem, was given a different room that thankfully, did not have the smell.
Pros: Staff was friendly, the free water and cookie, the room was spacious and even with the huge number of school groups, quiet. Although the room was very dusty, it seemed otherwise clean.
Cons: VERY dingy...needs serious updating. Peeling paint, stained floors and furniture. Almost everything was outdated. Kind of depressing really. Also, expensive parking ($30 per day per vehicle).
