Disappointing Stay at DoubleTree Hilton
I checked into the DoubleTree Hilton on February 14th for a birthday staycation in Houston, expecting a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, my stay has been far from satisfactory. At check-in, I was offered a complimentary room upgrade, which I accepted, assuming it would be an improvement. However, the upgraded room was in poor condition— the bathtub was dirty, the sheets were dingy, the room was hot, the refrigerator was rusted, and the TV cabinet was missing a drawer. I contacted the front desk, but the receptionist who assigned the room was unavailable. Instead, I spoke with Miriam, who was dismissive and delayed addressing my concerns. After waiting in line again, another receptionist reviewed my photos and reassigned me to a new room. While the second room appeared better, I soon discovered that the water never got truly hot. As of Sunday at midnight, the issue worsened—now the water is entirely cold. Despite maintenance being sent, the problem remains unresolved, and I have no choice but to bathe in cold water before checking out. This stay has been disappointing due to poor room conditions, maintenance issues, and inadequate customer service. I cannot recommend this location and urge Hilton to address these concerns for future guests.
