Great location for a visit to the museum district

We had a great time during our stay at this property.First the great stuff:The AC worked wonderfully. The place is very spacious. The living area has an awesome TV. The couches were quite comfortable and how they convert into a reclining mode was very cool. Not only was it a fantastic location, right near all the things we were interested in, the area of town was very quiet at night, which was a nice bonus!If there were any negatives, I'd say the place could use a fresh coat of paint. There were some maintenance inconveniences that kept the rating from being higher, but they should be easy fixes. We left the details with the owner.Over all, a pretty nice place to stay in Houston with potential to be really great!

Good stay

Donovan was very helpful for our last minute booking. This unit had 3 important attributes: it was clean, had comfortable beds, and a responsive host. The place is in need of some TLC; new paint, replaced lights, un-slow drains, etc. etc. but if you just need somewhere clean and comfortable, this place is great. More fake plants than you could shake a plastic stick at. Served our needs perfectly.

This place is amazing!

I hosted a game night with some friends and we all enjoyed the place so much! The area was quiet, right down the street from the downtown and all the bars/restaurants. The host Donovan was very attentive, and quick to respond to be questions or any concerns I had. I would highly recommend this place!

Great location

Condo was perfect size for our group of 4. Plenty of room. Close to downtown. Owner contacted me a few days before, the day of and the middle of our stay. Great communication. The house is nice it just needs some TLC. A few Doors were missing some handles, faucet in powder bathroom is ready to come apart. Little things like this. The living room is the focal point of the house. Everybody was able to stretch out and relax during our stay. Very easy to get to everything! Overall good house and the owner is super responsive.

BOOKER BEWARE

Donovan was an AMAZING host. His communication was fast and we loved staying at his home. Central to many popular food places which was certainly a convenience since we came specifically for a food tour. The home is exactly as described and we loved the rooftop and arcade games. This has been my first time with such an amazing host and I strongly advise this home if you are looking for a beautiful home in the heart of Houston.

Sky Lights

We chose Donovan’s place because we wanted a spot for our family to enjoy the 4th of July. We had clear view of the city skyline and fireworks could be viewed from all around. The house was clean and kid friendly. We had everything we needed from having a great private spot for the fireworks to being nearby so many activities and food places to suit our needs. Would definitely consider for next year!

Very nice place I loved it

Had a great stay at this property in Houston, especially enjoyed the rooftop. To walk into a home that looks exactly as pictured is always a plus. Each level is amazing, but if you’re not up for some exercise everyday this is not the place for you. Overall an amazing home and I would definitely recommend renting this place and I would certainly come back whenever I’m in Houston. Thank you Donovan for your hospitality and professionalism.

Quick Stay

This is the best VRBO property that I have stayed at. The property is very clean, easy to get to, and very spacious. Unfortunately, we only spent one night at the property, but we could have easily stayed over a week just to enjoy the property.

Fabulous stay

The property and location are great. Walking distance to a coffee shop and close to restaurants, shopping, and freeways. The house was clean and set up well. It's 4 stories, so keep that in mind if anyone in your party doesn't do well with that. The rooftop space was a lot of fun as well. Donovan is quick to respond and very helpful with recommendations. I highly recommend this place.

Bright and Spacious

We really enjoyed our stay. Conveniently located, with plenty of room for our party of eight to spread out. Nicely decorated and clean with comfortable beds. The upper deck and arcade games were a hit with the teenagers. Donovan was helpful with recommendations for the area and check in was easy and efficient. We would definitely stay here again.

A Houston Gem

To walk into a home that looks exactly as pictured is always a plus. Each level is amazing, but if your not up for some exercise everyday this is not the place for you. Overall an amazing home and I WILL definitely book again

Far from Lavish… Roaches, Ants, Bad Plumbing, Not Clean, Refrigerator Issues

Overview: Plumbing Issues, Bugs (Ants & Roaches), Refrigerator Issues and cleanliness issues. Plumbing: This property seems to have multiple plumbing issues. The shower pressure in each shower is low. The master bathroom sinks were clogged and took hours to drain. The room next to the master bedroom shower was clogged and would fill up with water. The property manager had his dad attempt a quick fix on two different days by using Drano which didn’t work. He then reported that he would have a plumber come out on “Monday” (Our checkout day). So with that said we had to share the master shower and sinks in the other rooms. Bug Issues: When we arrived to this location we noticed ants all around the cabinets. We killed them and cleaned it up. The next day we noticed that they were back. At this point I sent video and pictures to the owner. Letting him know he had a ant issue. On our last day we noticed a roach crawling on the wall and one dead at the bottom of the steps. I sent the owner a photo of this aswell. Refrigerator Issue: We bought groceries for our stay to make breakfast, lunch and dinner on some days. We placed everything in the refrigerator when we arrived. The next day when we were going to make breakfast we noticed everything was hot and went bad due to the refrigerator not getting cold. We literally had to trash everything except for the waters and Gatorade. Called the property manager again who had his father come to inspect the refrigerator. He let us know he would have to come back with some vendors to fix the problem. The vendor arrived later that day and we had to sit there hearing the father and vendor go back in forth about pricing on the fix and how the father thought he was getting over charged. They finally came to an agreement and the refrigerator was fixed. Unfortunately nothing was done about our losses in food and money spent on the items. Cleanliness: The pictures makes this property look like it’s very well kept. However, once you arrive you will instantly know the house is just to gain revenue. House keeping is just the manager and his family wiping things off. Nothing really gets cleaned. Walls are dirty, floors are dirty and overall I’m not sure if the sheets and towels even get washed if they don’t appear dirty by the previous guest. I only say this because of the Pubic hair on the towel and stains on the sheets. The rooftop was nice but he couch cushions were filthy. I wouldn’t recommend.

Bachelorette Weekend

The property manager was responsive to all matters concerning the property, which was a big plus. The online pictures are true reflections of the property, as the inside has a great layout and is nicely decorated. The rooftop was an amazing space to hang out with the girls and take pics. I was prepared for the need for extra necessities such as paper towels and tissue, and some brought extra bath towels as it was a house full of 10 women. We encountered a few water leaks but the owner addressed the issue quickly. Overall, it was a great stay that I highly recommend as the owner was arranging to take care of the problem soon after reporting.

Absolutely beautiful!

Our group of nine were in Houston celebrating my birthday. Donovan’s property was exactly as its described in the listing. There was more than enough room for our group. The place was very clean. Donovan provided tissue,paper towels, foil, cleaning supplies, body wash and a few other things. The location of the property was perfect for everything we had planned for our stay. Check in was a breeze As Donovan’s place has keyless entry. Here again that was perfect so that everyone could come and go as they pleases and not worry about misplacing a key. The roof top deck was awesome. It was so cool and relaxing in the evenings with the winds blowing. Donovan checked in on us (via text) making sure we were enjoying our stay and checking to see if we needed anything. If you are looking for space for a large group and want to be close to downtown and the galleria this is the place for you. Be prepared to get a leg work out. There are plenty of stairs. Downstairs was a bedroom and bathroom . This room had an exit to a little patio that you could sit and relax. The main floor was the living /family room, bathroom dining room and kitchen. All beautifully decorated. The third floor had two bedrooms with bathrooms . The master suite has a jetted tub with separate toilet and shower along with a large closet. The laundry room is on this floor also. Up on the fourth floor is a game area an office and a bedroom. This bedroom has bunk beds that are full sized. We absolutely loved this place! If we could add something to this place it would be to have a fourth floor bathroom instead of the office space. I would definitely recommend renting this place and I would certainly come back whenever I’m in Houston. Thank you Donovan for your hospitality and professionalism.
