“We are 4 women in our eighties who have been friends since grade school. We take an annual 4 day trip each summer. This year we wanted to learn about the Driftless area of southern MN and WI. The mansion in La Crosse was the perfect home base for exploring the area. We enjoyed our stay at the Cargill-Pettibone mansion. Lots of room and nice accommodations. We would definitely recommend it to a larger group. ”

“This is a charming property, a quick drive or longish walk from downtown La Crosse. The host is very accommodating and responsive. I appreciate all the games and the scavenger hunt!”

“We stayed the weekend for a college reunion- this is our 5th stay - and it keeps getting better. Friday night we had a small get together before heading out to local restaurants and all who stopped by commented on how beautiful the house was and how great the location is. Both inside and outside were great- was a great venue for the 8 of us who stayed. Already looking at dates for the next get together- and making a reservation for “the house” will be top on the list of to dos. ”

“Lots of room. Large beds & bedrooms. Entire interior has been updated and is very cozy. The local Coffee house next door was an awesome bonus. ”

“Well-maintained cabin not far from Lock 6 on the Mississippi river. Has a screened porch, useful on days when mosquitos are active. There is a fire pit with firewood to enjoy evenings outside. A gas grill is also on-site to grill some steaks, should you decide to. Beds are comfortable. Owners take great care to make sure your experience is as good as it can be.”

“We had a great stay at Pauline's place. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and there was a good amount of DVDs, games, chess board, fire pit and more. It was just he 2 of us and the upstairs kings size bed was very comfortable! We would stay again!”
