The area where the hotel is located is not in the center of town, but is a short walk to many shops and restaurants. The staff to fulfill our requests. “The members of the Morales family were extremely gracious hosts.The facilities were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The included hot breakfast was delicious, served in the upper level breakfast room with inspiring views of the nearby mountains. “The Abuelo is a jewel of a hotel in the Callejón! Modern, clean and an amazing proprietor. All are helpful and eager to please. Located in the middle of Carhuaz, they can quickly get you the best guides and transport. The cook is fantastic; it thus is the best restaurant in town and one of the best in the Callejón. We travel a lot, are very fluent in Spanish and would rank it among the nicest rural hotels in Latin America!”

“Unfortunately they couldn't honour our full booking due to the person in charge having an emergency but let us stay the first night as it was late in the evening. The price was different to what was booked on hotels.com and there wasn't the stated free breakfast. Maybe this was because the person in charge wasn't there. It was very cold due to the building not being fully enclosed. I can't comment on the trips etc which was the main reason we had booked here due to the good reviews.”

“No era para nada lo que se veía en las fotos. Llame 2 horas antes para avisar que llegaba y no respondían, no encontraba el hotel y seguía llamando y nada. Al fin lo encontramos y nadie nos habría la puerta, salió un chico borracho que no tenia idea de la reserva. Estaba solo. No nos daba ninguna solución. Entramos porque mi niña quería ir al baño y los cuartos sucios, olía terrible. Después llegó una chica y lo mismo, no sabía nada, ella solo vivía ahí. Al rato salió un señor totalmente……
