“I highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay after trekking or touring the Maras salt mines, the Sacred Valley, or Machu Picchu. We stayed here after our four-day trek on the Inca Trail. The staff were friendly and very accomodating, the property is beautiful, the beds are very comfy, the water pressure is amazing, the hot tub experience was divine, the views are spectacular, and the food was wonderful. It was a special treat to eat at the tasty breakfast buffet in the morning, watch the……
“This is a lodging experience like no other. Located a 10 minute walk from the town of Ollantaytambo, it’s nestled in a eucalyptus forest alongside the roaring Urubamba River. Very secure, behind stone walls, locked gates and with the adorable, loyal “guard dog” Beethoven . we stayed in the glass pyramid (watch your head climbing in) and kept pinching ourselves in disbelief of where we were! There are plenty of different options including cabins and a treehouse. It’s more like glamping with……
“We stayed at Villa Kampuwasi in Urubamba for 8 days and we absolutely loved it. The house and the grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. It is tastefully decorated and everything is very comfortable. The staff was exceptional. I highly recommend staying in Urubamba instead of Cusco if you want to explore Sacred Valley. We used it as a base to do a two day trip to Machu Picchu and day trips around the valley. I was happy we did not rent a car and relied on local professional……
“We really enjoyed this fun home. Climbing wall was really fun and Violeta hooked us up with local mountaineering company that brought equipment. Violeta really took great care of us with lots of good recommendations and guidance.”
“This is a hotel, not a home. You have to haul your luggage up about four flights of stone steps, but the view from the roof is incredible of the town and all the surrounding Inca ruins. The hotel was not informed of our arrival and although VRBO said we had paid, we had to pay again on our arrival.”
