Overall, not a bad place to stay. Rooms are nice and well furnished. Things that kept me from giving five stars…
-towels were not stocked well in the pool area. Aside from this, the pool was great. When more towels were requested for the area, desk staff indicated there were no more available until laundry finished. I appreciate the honesty, but was surprised that a hotel like this would have ALL of its towels out.
- our bathroom had some kind of unpleasant smell. It was hard to put our finger on it, but it was there the entire stay.
- the phone in our room did not work at all
- the hook on our bathroom door was dangling. This isn’t a huge inconvenience, but it made me wonder how well the facility is maintained.
- we requested some extra blankets and the front desk said they didn’t have any. No explanation that I heard, but I thought that was odd.
None of these are massive failures, but definitely things I don’t expect when paying $180 for a one night stay that does not include any kind of breakfast. I got the impression they were under-staffed as I can only recall seeing 4-5 different employees during our stay.
Flip side:
-Staff were all extremely polite.
-check-in was as easy and fast as I can ever recall, anywhere.
-the area of town seemed very acceptable/safe. Nothing I saw raised any suspicion on my part.
