“Very nice property in a beautiful gated community. (And the owners are making even more landscaping improvements!) Everything as advertised, plus some nice extras (soaps, etc.). We me ade use of the full kitchen, laundry, gas grill, pool table, Chromecast, and we brought a kayak and launched off the pier for two tours of the lake. Definitely would book again.”

“I was in Hickory for a professional training at LRU. My family traveled with me. This property was a short drive to LRU. The neighborhood was quiet, and the accommodations were lovely… and cozy indeed! In my opinion, however, the true magic of this property is its host! She is a gem of a human being. No matter the time of day, she was responsive— almost immediately! … and when a family emergency arose suddenly, she was kind, compassionate and flexible. Hoping to stay with her again next summer……

There were some important truths missing from the listing at the time. Hopefully it has since been updated so others will know what they are in for & can make a more informed choice. Things to know: there is no electricity. The lights in the pictures are from solar panels; there is a very cool outdoor shower but it is cold……
