“We had a very special experience of the stay. Very convenience going to Cabot Trail and the national park. Friendly attitude and timely response. The natural environment was great with ocean, stars and the green views. “We were to be in the Green Chalet (the word chalet is quite misleading). Informed host we would be arriving late. Chalet could only be identified by the roof colour, which in the dark is not visible. A sign on the cabin would have been helpful. The breakfast (an additional charge) was watery scrambled eggs, cold pancakes, dry bread, frozen raspberries. The manager was to be in at 8:00, finally showed up at 8:25. The other staff were unable to assist with check-in. As a result, we were unable to……

“If you like solitude and nature, Big Intervale will give you that! The property is beautiful and off the beaten path. There are no services nearby so if you’re visiting off season, be sure to gas up and bring your toothbrush and snacks. It’s a good 20-30 minutes on a dirt road to get in or out of the cabins. The owners were welcoming and accommodating. ”

“Beautiful house next to a beach and small harbour. Stunning views. The house itself was fabulous with a great living area , superbly appointed kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. There was also a lovely verandas, but sadly not the weather to benefit from it! Very quiet area with lovely trails and beaches. A few small local amenities were open, the co-op at Neil’s Harbour was great and lovely coffee and ice cream at the groovy goat farm.”

“Jay's cabin was perfect for us. Spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, super comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and great location on the Cabot Trail. We enjoyed days exploring the trail and evenings on the porch or walking to the ocean on trails on the property - views from the cliff-top were magnificent. Thanks for a great stay, Jay. Maybe we'll get back there one day. ”

“Every one of us loved it here - grown ups, kids, and dog. We had many great adventures in a short time and wished we could have stayed longer.
