We have stayed in many Hyatt Place locations, and this one was subpar compared to most. First of all, they only had one working elevator, which made it very difficult to get in and out each morning when trying to leave for work/meetings.
Secondly, I'm not sure why hotels in general do this, but someone in a wheelchair should not be put in the farthest room away from the elevator on the third floor. How on earth is someone in a wheelchair supposed to manage any kind of emergency? Handicapped accessible rooms should ALWAYS be on the first floor where someone in a wheelchair would be able to evacuate properly in the event of an emergency.
The second issue we had with our room was the alarm was set (I assume by the previous guest) and it went off at 4:45 in the morning, waking everyone in a panic and making us unable to fall back to sleep.
Lastly, the refrigerator was stuck on high, and all of the food that we purchased was FROZEN solid the next morning. We have food allergies, and had to go to Trader Joe's to purchase items for breakfast and lunch each day such as dairy free yogurt, hard boiled eggs, lunch meats, and other necessities as we are unable to eat the hotel breakfast. We lost $100 worth of food because it was all ruined and ended up spending more money to eat out at the last minute. Very upsetting when you're in a rush to get to a convention and meetings!
Needless to say, I do not recommend this location.
