“Great property and peaceful location. Beautiful view and easy parking. The bed was very comfortable and I had a brilliant nights sleep every night. The BBQ is a good size and easy to clean. The owner was very prompt in answering any questions I had and check-in was very easy. However a couple of points would improve the experience. The shower is very small for the average person which is disappointing when you're using it regularly before either going into the hot tub or when using the sauna.……

“Very spacious and comfortable house in a lovely, quiet location. The bedrooms are all a generous size, as is the well-equipped kitchen (we managed to prepare a 7-course meal for the 6 of us). It's a short and delightful drive from the house to the heart of the Cairngorms. And don't miss paying a visit to the friendly Persie gin distillery just 5 minutes from the house”

“My family of four adults plus one friend had a great stay at Camusmore House for a week in March. The house was terrific, layout was great for our needs, and there were plenty of everything to self-cater for a week. We had some issues with the heater the first couple of days and nights, but the hosts were extremely active in communicating with us to try simple solutions, and in the end they brought in a professional repair technician who promptly fixed an issue in the boiler. Problem solved and……

“Great location just South of Ballater on Glenmuick estate. Enjoyed being wakened by the wildlife rather than planes. Not sure if the cottage is haunted but was wakened at 3am on the first night by creaking stairs. Anyway didn’t detract from our stay. Cottage is in need of upgrading e.g. ancient shower and paintwork in need of attention. That may concern some people but did not detract at all from our stay. Overall would recommend a stay here for a few nights if you like activities in spectacular……

“The basic setup here is fantastic. Really well situated, and at a point in the past the property was clearly set up to be ideal. Since then it looks like things have begun to run down in the way that any short term let always does eventually. Things to keep an eye out for: Every knife and utensil has a better than 50/50 chance of being blunt or broken. The vast majority of the hob won't light, so avoid planning to cook for the property's capacity. Not all appliances will be working. Expect……
