“This house sits in the middle of a hayfield, set 500’ or so back from the road. Very quiet, and a secure place to let the dogs play. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, and well-equipped, including heat-pump a/c and an excellent washer/dryer in the basement. The Mabou area is always a treat: grocery, gas station and the Red Shoe Pub (very nice restaurant and music venue) all 5 minutes away. Mabou Mines sandy beach 10 minutes away. “Two sets of family stayed at this property and it was more than enough room. The house was very clean and tidy and a comfortable space. Kitchen was stocked with the essentials and all bathrooms had plenty of soap, paper towel and toilet paper. The host was super friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived, they gave us such a lovely welcome and were incredibly helpful with suggestions for things to do in the area. The location couldn’t be better -perfect for exploring Cape Breton Highlands National Park and the many gorgeous local beaches (and there are so many to choose from!). We loved using the driving range and taking our morning walk to the river for a float/dip.The place is even better……
