Rustic 2B Cabin w/ Sauna on Farm (Free WiFi/Parking)

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. 5 minutes from Ishpeming, 20 minutes from Marquette, MI. Enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Yet only minutes away from restaurants and grocery stores. Mountain biking, motorcycling, snowmobiling, fishing--all within 30 minute drive, most within 15. Hiking is also nearby, but why drive? You will have 70 wooded acres in the backyard to explore. If the season is right, apples to pick. During the winter, there is a small sledding hill (sleds provided) right outside cabin window.

Walking into the main floor provides your full kitchen and living room. A small selection of books, DVD, and games are provided.

The second floor of the cabin has 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom is spacious with a full bed and twin. The 2nd bedroom has a sofa that expands to a king bed. The full bathroom and washer/dryer are also on the second floor.

The basement has a sauna, its own shower, and another entrance to the cabin.

Pets are welcome, but there is an additional $10/per pet/per night fee.

Winter Wonderland
This was our first stay here and it won't be our last! I'm from the area and brought my girlfriend (now fiance) to enjoy the quiet of the woods. We went snow shoeing around the property, stayed in one night and watched a thriller movie, and went to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain (Doodooshani-wajiw) to get engaged.We sauna'd every single day, and got some eggs from Roger for breakfast. Absolutely love the property, love the host, and we will be back next year if not sooner!

Pet Friendly Stay
We had a great stay at the very clean, adorable cabin. It allowed us time to visit Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and attend a wedding at Carpe River Gardens in Negaunee. Bringing our golden retriever made the trip fun. Thank you!

A perfect spot in the U.P.
Our group traveled to the area to ride mountain bikes and visit friends who live nearby, and the cabin proved to be the ideal spot. It was perfectly located so that we could easily visit with friends in Ishpeming as well as venture into Marquette for mountain biking and Au Train for kayaking. The cabin itself was lovely -- clean and spacious with windows that look out onto the farm's pastures. We appreciated the spacious kitchen (well-stocked with pots and pans), which allowed us to cook together, and we were grateful for the dog-friendly accommodations as well! Roger was so kind and hospitable and made sure we had everything we need.

Quiet dog-friendly cabin on a farm with sauna

A perfect cabin for a UP winter vacation
We absolutely loved the cabin! It was warm, cozy, quiet, and well-equipped for a winter vacation in the UP. The sauna was just what we needed after our days of snowmobiling and hiking on the nearby trails. The kitchen had what we needed for cooking our meals and there were ample board games and entertainment provided for our evenings in. The rooms were spacious and Roger was very accommodating. We hope to be back someday, we loved the cabin and the town of Ishpeming!

Lovely Cabin
My family enjoyed staying in this wonderful cabin during a move transition. The cabin is nestled into the woods, off the main road, and next to the original farmhouse on the property. The cabin has spacious bedrooms, a cozy living area, and beautiful cabinetry in the kitchen. It’s a cool design and unique experience, plenty of room for the family and dogs to play. The property manager was welcoming and attended to all our needs.

Nice Place
The place was bigger than I expected. Was clean and organized. There was a notebook with brochures to area attractions. I would definitely stay her again. We were only here for a couple nights to visit with family nearby. We love that we were able to bring our dogs and there was plenty of area for them to run. One suggestion I have is to maybe make a trail away from the houses and road for a dog run or directions to such an area. I would love to explore the property with the dogs to burn off excess energy. Overall we loved the place. Thank you for having us.

Amazing place to stay
My wife and I (and our four legged child, as they are pet friendly!) had a great time. Beautiful pastures and woods. This cabin is wonderful and has everything you need. The property manager was great to deal with and very welcoming. The sauna was fantastic and I love the 1/2 bath on the main floor. Everything was just laid out perfectly. We could not have been more pleased. I almost didn’t want to write this review as I think they will be fully booked if too many people knew about this gem and selfishly I want to be able to get reservations whenever we want. We can not wait to go back and could not be happier with our experience. Great hosts, and an amazing place to stay.
