“We had the best stay at Tony and Jo’s Black Coral beach house over the holidays. They were easy to contact and quick to respond both before and during our trip. They stocked our kitchen before arrival with a list of items we selected, they had local currency for us to purchase, and even met us at the ferry dock with a golf cart we rented to help transport our luggage and show us to the property! “We really enjoyed this rental - beautiful view of the cove, ocean, and distant mountains, quiet neighborhood away from the main road. It’s a 15 min walk to town so renting bikes was a great way to get around on Utila including to and from our scuba lessons and to Neptunes boat when we had a day off! “It was horrible! Half of the light fixtures did not have functional bulbs. When we asked the manger about it, he said he cannot provide them because the electricity usage would go up. So we spent our vacation in a very poorly lit place. There was a TV and a CD player but they were not hooked up and not functional. Our information said that we would have a local cell phone for our local calls but there was none. When we asked the manager, he said he will look into it and we never heard about it……
