Buyer Beware: This is NOT a resort. We stayed for one night in the Dos Palmas room with my two daughters and my in laws. This was supposed to be a little mother's day getaway at what i thought was a 4 star resort. It was absolutely not that. It is advertised as having a private beach. It does not. If you know the Florida Keys, you already know the ocean here doesn't have a manicured shore like on the Atlantic coast's artificial beaches. However, some of the area properties create little lagoons or inlets with small man made beaches. I assumed it was like that. It was not. There is a tiny slip area where you can push out the kayaks and paddle boards they rent which is in a functioning marina where there are also jet skis and water taxis running. It is covered in thick seaweed and rocks and not any type of beach that an adult much less a child could enjoy. False advertising. The unit we stayed in showed pictures of the guest rooms from the hotel, not the actual rooms of the villa. The furniture is old and chipped. The one lamp in the main room is broken. No cups or bowls or anything in the kitchenette. Furniture is stained and old. The unit was INFESTED with little winged bugs in various states

Our stay could have been better but it seemed as if the staff didn't care. The resort rooms are in need of some tlc, beds were ok pillows are very thin, water temp is inconsistent, pool was HOT which made us not want to use it during the day as it wasn’t refreshing to be in. The staff was hit or miss, none of them seemed to be communicating well with each other as none of them gave the same times for the pool, kayak/paddle board rentals, or told us if breakfast in the lobby was included or not. One night the pool was open until around 11pm. The signs say until sunset which was around 8pm. A different night we tried to go out around 8-9pm and it was already closed down for the night. When asking staff they couldn’t really give us a reason why or tell us a specific time it was open different days. I requested a late check out that was approved via email and then received a reminder from someone at the front desk that checkout was at 11am. I had to message them back to remind them we requested a late check out. Poor communication that turns into poor service. The housekeeping staff was inconsistent as well. We had to request other towels, toilet paper, service. Even after requesting specific things they weren’t done. The restaurant/pool bar is just the pool bar also. They have to get food delivered from a different restaurant so the wait is longer. The bar only has wine based drinks so it’s not really a bar. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend to anyone else.

Had a great 3 story suite. The view was great. I wished I would have known they had no elevator. The room was a decent size. For paying almost $1k a night I expected way more. Room was dated, dingy and falling apart. We even requested room service for missing lightbulbs. I will say, despite the dated room, service was accommodating. Overall not impressed with our room but did like the location.

La Siesta Resort is charming yet imperfect stay, Its standout features include a private beachfront and a laid-back atmosphere enhanced by unlimited towels, free bottled water, beach chairs on the beach front, free kayaks and paddle boards and ocean views. We got the 6 person suite with 2 queen beds and pull out sofa and there was plenty of room for our 6 guests.ideal for families or groups. I did make sure to get the room that was 614 sq feet because some rooms were smaller. There is shuttle service to sister properties from 7am to 11pm. The Three Waters is a beautiful resort you have access to up the street that has fabulous restaurants (I recommend Little Limon) and a lively tiki bar, fire pits and live music. Our 2 queen beds were amazingly comfortable but my 2 kids were not too happy with the comfort of the pull out sofa. But they are kids and adapted! Our kitchenette was great with a good sized frig and microwave or making breakfast. There is not a proper restaurant at this resort but you can get food for most of the day at the tiki bar by the very nice pool. We would make breakfast in the room, get a little bit of food at the tiki bar for lunch, and then go to the Three Waters resort for dinner. I thought the service was outstanding, I asked to check out an hour later and they allowed it at no charge. They checked on us everyday by text to see what we needed. They brought plenty of towels and cleaned room daily. Staff super friendly! The resort was not Crowded!

Great view of the ocean and plenty of locations to relax on the property, the free shuttle service was also very nice. Only gripe was having to contact guest services for simple things on the first day such as toilet paper, a power cord for the TV… things that should have been a non-issue upon checking in.

We enjoyed our stay. The only thing they really need to work on is updating the pool lounge chairs, they need all new ones several are falling apart, saggy and uncomfortable. I was afraid I was going to fall through. The staff are all very nice.
