“We stayed for the long weekend with our adult children and their spouse (6 of us). Fisherman's Cottage was perfect for us. There was lots of room for everyone, and what a view!! The kitchen was well equipped and let us prepare a celebration meal. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub. What a treat!! We would visit again.”

“The place is good, and we had a good time in the area. The place is not right on the beach--it is about a 200 meter walk through the woods. The house is pretty remote, which can be a good thing, but every place we wanted to visit is at least an hour drive away. We did a lot of driving and spent a lot on gas. We wish we had stayed in Baddeck.”

“The host was exceptionally communicative prior to arrival giving very clear instructions on how to find their place. When we met them, they were very kind and considerate hosts offering additional help if it was needed. “Well equipped trailer with a beautiful view. We did on the whole enjoy staying at the property. It is quite a remote property which was a little nerve wracking at first as our signal was limited but the setting is worth it. Only about 20 mins to St Peters. Our main feedback was just around the compost toilet, whilst eco efficient, it does have a smell and this smell progressively got worse with more use. We did flag this with the owner who was quick to respond and suggested using the fan. We……

“Nice log cottage sitting on Diana Mountain with a nice view of Bras d’Or Lake. The night skys are fantastic. The cottage is secluded. It is about a 35 minute drive to the nearest store of any kind so if you want to get away from everything it is perfect. Stock up before you go. The cottage has high speed internet and good cell phone reception to keep you in touch with the outside world. If you are planning on taking in a lot of the sights of Cape Breton Island then plan on a lot of driving.”

“We arrived at our destination, only to find a very extremely musty house. We could not stand the smell, even after opening all the windows. Our fault, but did not realize there was no television. Found a rusty rack in the freezer. No air conditioning upstairs where we would be sleeping. We would never recommend this property and suffered a huge loss financially.”
