excellent for families

we were a family of 6, and we had the 2 bed apartment. it was excellent and clean. there were beds for 5 people and the 6th person had the sofa bed, which was expected. the kitchen had kettle, microwave, a small elecric cooker, fridge, plates, glasses and utensils, probably could have done with a toaster aswell. generally enjoyed staying here and will have no hesitation in rebooking this palce when we come again in the future.

The appartment is in a very turistic but rather quiet place. All the important places to see are at the walking distances. The owner of the apartments are very nice and helpful. They pick you up at the airport without any charge (only one round without charge). We rented the apartment at the second floor with two bedrooms for 7 people and for 9 nights. The apartment was in general clean but outside coridoors were smelly. The bedrooms were nice and roomy and there were beds for 5 people. However, the kitchen, livingroom and bathroom were not suitable for 7 people. The kitchen was really smal and had only 4 chairs and there was no kitchen towels available. The cutleries and plates were enough for only 4 or 5 people. We had to ask for extra chairs. It took more than a day and it came only two extra chairs. So we could not eat together at the same time. The bathroom was rather small and the shower drain had problem. So when one was having shower, it was water everywhere and it would take time before the water disappears. The livingroom was small but it was ok. They cleaned the apartment after 5 days. But we would have liked it to be more often since we couldn't really clean ourselves. Despite the negative points, i think it is a ok place to stay for a shorter peiod of time and less people.

Wonderful Trip!

We stayed at the Flamingo from the 29th of December till January 2nd. We travelled with our 3 small children (8,5,2). Gurkin was extremely helpful prior to our trip by arranging transportation for pickup at the airport, to arranging for us to check-in a bit early since we arrived so early in the morning. Hakan was fantastic and went the extra mile in his efforts to help us. Our bags were stored for us until we could check in and were upstairs in our room when we did check in. We were in need of a converter for our computer charger and a bottle opener, and Hakan brought one up to us immediately after we asked. The room was very spacious and had all that we needed to either cook or just store food. The bathroom was very clean with a great shower. They provided shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, and soap. The location of the hotel was fantastic. We were able to walk to all the local attractions very easily and the tram/metro station was very close and easy to use. The room was very clean and perfect for our family. We stayed on the 3rd floor with the balcony, and I am very glad we chose that since on New Year's Eve we were able to see the fireworks going off around town. This was a wonderful trip, and made that much better by the helpfulness of the Flamingo staff. We would recommend this apartment to any of our friends and colleagues, and would stay there again if we visit Istanbul again.

Perfect location: family with 3 children.

We had the apartment on the 3rd floor with 2 rooms + balcony with view of Blue Mosque. The location is perfect for sightseeing yet relatively quiet and full of light. Gurkan and Hakan were very helpful and friendly: speak good English and are always present as they run the shop on the ground floor.
