Unwind by the firepit or explore Lake Godstone just 1/2 mile away. Create lasting memories in this unique retreat, surrounded by breathtaking views and wildlife. A true sanctuary for those looking to relax and recharge with streaming ROKU TV and high-speed free wifi. Note that the shower is located in the bottom floor and it has a point of use demand hot water system (restricted space) that takes time to recover. Our comfort station with showers is just down the trail about 1/4 mile and is available to guests as well.

Relaxing trip to the Roost

My family and I had a good experience staying at this property. The onsite property manager is helpful and friendly. The location is 25 minutes from Possum Kingdom Lake and 20 minutes from Rocker B. We would stay here again.

Peace and tranquility!

We had a great weekend staying in "The Roost". It's so pretty and quiet. We were greeted by deer each morning and enjoyed the fire pit and sunset in the evenings. And Jim made us feel right at home. Would definitely stay here again.

Very cool

Jim is a great host. We woke him up at 1230 because we were lost and he was super nice about it (sorry Jim). Very cool property. The roost is a neat spot. We were in town for a concert. Will bring our kids back to stay and explore the property!

Peaceful Escape

The owner contacted us prior to our trip to provide instructions, met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the entire camp ground. The cabin we stayed in was tucked away, was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed long walks and fishing in each of the ponds. The owner even let ours on barrow a basketball to play some hoops. We will definitely be back.
