We have stayed in Room 10 the last three visits since 2020. Good size room, wonderful staff. The little extras have decreased over the years. The room needs some maintenance. The screen door is torn, one of hooks to hold back the blackout curtains is still barely hanging on. (Was the same a year ago.) The fireplace is out of order. Not huge projects but the touches that matter. Also more comfortable furniture for the patios would be nice or a least pads for the metal chairs. Again the little details. Last unfortunately is it’s time for a new mattress, I slept in a hole last night. We will of course come back. It’s just time to bring the place up to the level of expectation it’s known for.

This is a delightful small hotel. I stayed in room 10 which has a private patio area. I loved the warm pastries delivered to outside the room door at 7:30 am.

The room was GORGEOUS but we would probably not come back because of the very noisy lobby which was connected to the restaurant. A loud party was literally ten feet from our room for several hours. Any other hotel would not have this happening. We wanted a quiet one night romantic getaway - yelling and partying outside our door, even in as early as 8:45pm, was not what we pictured.

The staff were all excellent, above and beyond. Room was clean and functional. The location is perfect. The breakfast selection is great! The waffle is my favorite. The reasons for not giving a 5-star review: The show is odd. It has a wide overhead drip that tickled my bald head (not in a good way). There is an immbile glass enclosure covering half of the shower/tub. To turn the faucet on you must go around it and stand in the tub. The arrangement is just odd. If you have to leave shampoo in your hair for a time, you'll have to lean oddly to avoid getting it washed out too soon. The mattress was quite worn, with a pronounced bulge along the center. There is no ref/microwave in the rooms. Only in the larger cabins. So be prepared in case you bring leftovers home.

Front desk staff were super helpful when we couldn't work out the airconditioner. Loved that there were homemade cookies on arrival. (Wine also in the evening if you wanted.) Walkable, as right downtown, but still in a quiet area. So clean and comfy. Loved there was a unexpected outdoor patio. Went to breakfast at the onsite restaurant which was very yummy. Local told us about Gold Dust Pizza off the main strip and still walkable. Fabulous outdoor area and great pizza with no wait! Great stay! Thank you for having us!
