each room was individually decorated and themed-ours was for one of my favorites, Robert Frost the grounds were immaculate as were the many common areas and guests were encouraged to wander and enjoy would have appreciated a small table next to the pedestal sink in the bathroom-grooming was awkward also would have liked the owner to have stopped and chatted-he was not on site Tuesday and when he made an appearance during breakfast on Wednesday he spoke with only one table

Ein Original, hat den Charme der White Mountains. Late Check-In war sehr unkompliziert, Frühstück war hervorragend. Das einzige war, dass man die Tür nicht zusperren konnte und die Dusche nur einen sehr dünnen Wasserstrahl hatte. Für auf der Durchreise war es aber super.

Not as good as before

This is our third time to stay at the Inn. We had loved the clean and cozy environment, as well as the hot tub. However, we were told that the hot tub was out of order when we got there. It is disappointing! We would not have chosen to stay there if we had known earlier. In addition, the service is not good as before.

Needs improvements.

We stayed here two or three times before but it is not as good as it used to be. There was no fire in the fireplace but one artificial log was there. However the glass on the fireplace was opaque with soot and needed cleaning. I think we were the only guests and they placed us on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator and no one around to help with the bags. We did not see anyone until the morning. The shower was very small and had little water pressure. The toilet needed to be flushed twice to clear feces. In the past, the breakfast was great with fruit, pastries, and the main meal. Today, the scones (or cookies?) were old, hard, and not very good. The pancakes, French toast, and bacon were good. The walkway was not shoveled before check-in and still not shoveled in the morning. The furnishings are marred and many need refinishing or replacement. In general, it is a very cool old building but it needs significant attention to make it attractive again.

We love the old inn and the fact that it is in the center of the quaint village of Jackson and so close to the Jackson Xcountry ski touring center. The room was nice, the arm chairs cosy and the bed comfortable. However, we stayed 4 nights and the breakfasts became a little boring, I think they could offer other options.

Our room was under an apt where kids were making load noises both late into the night 9:45 and early morning 8:30am. I called the number 3 times to report but no one answered.

We liked the location and feel of the place but there were some issues that we found disappointing. Our adult son went in the outdoor hot tub very briefly as he found it to be not well maintained - he said it seemed slimy and the water level was too low. The other negative was there was a thick layer of dust under both of the beds in our room. We did let the innkeeper JP know and he said he had tested the hot tub with a strip and it was ok. He did have the dust under the bed removed which was appreciated. The staff is not present there except for in the AM which was slightly frustrating but the breakfast was good. JP has said he would give us some kind of refund on our stay but we have not heard from him.

Ski Weekend Get-away

Perfect location for our alpine and XC ski weekend get-away. Delicious breakfast, large room with fireplace. Will come back.

The only issue is the : Key room door lock barely worked- The bath shower needs a bath mat to prevent slip - fall injury while in shower
