“Good communication prior to stay. Waited for about 12 minutes for someone to come give us our key and show our room on arrival. No temp control in room didn’t bother us though. Very comfortable and well appointed rooms. Full access to kitchen/fridge/etc. very thin walls. Heard noise from laundry room and adjacent rooms bathroom fans as well as footsteps. The owner is very friendly and nice. It is a nice place for family/group. Lots of areas to hang out. Beautiful views. Overall nice……

“The property at South Shire is beautiful and quiet. We have stayed at a few places in Bennington and it can be hit or miss. The bed in our room was very comfortable and there was also a fireplace and a deep spa tub. Just know that if you book a room for 3 and it is not specified that there is more than one bed they will have to pull in a mattress.”

The amount we paid was more than double the advertised price, yet we were still asked to perform a laundry list of cleaning tasks before exiting the unit (vacuuming, folding blankets, emptying and taking out gargage, etc.).
