“Very clean. Bed was comfortable. No view for QB chalets. Quiet. Entry stairs to the unit were very steep with no hand rail but there was a ramp which is slippery when wet. Massage chair was heaven. Would stay again.”

“This property is surrounded on both sides by the Grampians, nestled near the town centre of Halls Gap. Plenty of wild animals to see, kangaroos, wallabies, deer and ducks are all plentiful. Your nearest neighbour is the sister house to this one (The one we stayed at was called bushland, but ironstone is also available.) Bushland is actually in a better spot as it is situated by itself, whereas ironstone is located close to another house (within 10m) so if you are after seclusion I would pick……

“Our room was so much better than expected. We have stayed in many motels to be able to compare. It seemed to be newly renovated with a large bathroom and shower. Very tastefully done with great colours. The bed was comfortable with electric blankets keeping us warm from very cold nights. The main room was big with a lovely bay window. Over the road is a shopping centre with all your needs. Just a short walk around the corner and we were in the Main Street of Ararat. Staff were very friendly……
