“Looking for peace and quiet with an amazing view; this is the place to go. The wooden cottage is located up a hill with an amazing view on Lake Bras d’Or. The pictures are 100% accurate. Only thing to keep in mind, the drive up the hill is quite steep and the gravel road is quite bumpy. If you don’t drive a 4x4 or an awd vehicle, make sure your car is not too close to the ground or you could scrape and cause damage.”

Having spent my summers on the Bras d’Or lake as a child I knew what I was getting with regards to lake (it is clear, warmer than the ocean, salt water —perfect to me!), but this was my first stay at Lakeside Luxury. I booked the cottage which was a great option for privacy, the screened porch was perfect for the mornings and evenings to get away from bugs. “The house was adorable, very comfortable, really cozy and we felt like we were really staying in our own home. It overlooked the bay had great views. Well stock kitchen, comfortable beds, great lawn and really friendly for our dog Luna-- The location was easy to find and easy to get to local beaches and the town of guysboro to listen to music. Plus it was so quiet we could sit on the screen and porch or sit in the garden and just gaze and be very peaceful -- We were especially grateful to the……

“Most beautiful place in the world! Right by the ocean with amazing sunrise. Very cute house and well equipped. Just make sure you pack everything you need ahead because there is nothing close by. You have to drive about 45 minutes to closest stores in the city of Guysborough.”
