The Lester Parker property, the neoclassical revival home built in 1905, is on the National Register of Historic Places and sits on the corner of historic Capitol Avenue and Lafayette Street. Diagonally across the intersection is the old Missouri State Penitentiary and directly across Lafayette Street is the Missouri State Penitentiary Museum and Penitentiary Tour Ticket Office.
We spent the evening touring the local state penitentiary and this was right across the street; perfect location to stay. The pull-out sofa was missing blanket/pillow, but I believe this was the first time this unit had travelers. Just need time to figure things out. Thanks!
