Arrived at 1:50pm to find a sign on the front desk that said reception is closed until 2 pm. Waited until 2 pm before approaching the desk and asking the man behind the desk if we can check in to which he replied he doesn’t work there and would call the manager. He called the manager on loudspeaker and we were able to overhear the conversation where the manager responded and said he is closed for lunch and if we don’t like it, we can go somewhere else. We waited another five minutes and the manager appeared abruptly and rudely and when we asked him if he wanted us to go elsewhere he said he would not give us a refund and that we shouldn’t be eavesdropping on his conversation. We explained the conversation was on loudspeaker in a quiet reception area and it was very rude of him to speak. this way to guests that were there to check in at the required time. This man continued to be intimidating with a loud voice and no apology for his behaviour. This made us feel very uncomfortable as guests at this accommodation. As a business owner who frequents this area I can confirm I will never stay in this property again and hope the business owners consider who they have representing their company and perhaps offer him customer service training if they wish to stay in business.
We did request a refund through the company we booked through and they attempted to obtain this for us however management refused to refund.
Would not recommend this accommodation.
